Operations Manager
Operations Manager
Kevin Wright is an Operations Manager for the Minnesota Super Bowl Host Committee. In this role, he will help with the implementation of the overall transportation plan for Super Bowl LII and various auxiliary events in and around the Twin Cities. Kevin is hoping for clear skies and streets for February 4, 2018.
Prior to joining the Minnesota Super Bowl Host Committee, Kevin served in various capacities with PGA of America golf tournaments. He was most recently the Operations Manager for the 2016 Ryder Cup and is excited to be able to extend his stay in Minnesota. Kevin is originally from Grand Rapids, MI and graduated from the University of Michigan. He currently resides in Chaska, MN, and if he is not at home or work, you can find him at the curling center trying to improve on his team’s 6-20 record.
Until the Detroit Lions make it to a Super Bowl, I will go with Kevin Dyson stretching for the goal line at the end of Super Bowl XXXIV as my most memorable moment. Since the Lions were ousted in the wild card round that year, I latched onto the Titans after the Music City Miracle. Sadly, their magical postseason run ended one yard short when Kevin Dyson was tackled at the one-yard line to the end the game.

The San Francisco 49ers defeating the San Diego Chargers 49-26 in Super Bowl XXIXs a favorite memory of mine. They had gone through tough playoff losses few years prior and to see them raise the Lombardi Trophy again at an age when I finally understood the game was pure bliss. I grew up a huge fan of Steve Young and to see how much passion, joy and excitement he displayed during the post game ceremony was really inspiring.

Watching Russell Wilson, Marshawn Lynch, and the Legion of Boom take the Lombardi Trophy home to the Pacific Northwest at Super Bowl XLVIII. It is the first-time in history that the Seattle Seahawks won the Super Bowl, and it was a special moment that I got to share with my younger siblings.
